Frontier Developments has unveiled Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, and upcoming real-time strategy game heading to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
As the game's title suggests, Realms of Ruin is set within the fantasy universe of Age of Sigmar, and has you commanding four different factions in dynamic RTS battles. Featuring a story-driven single-player campaign, the new game will take you to Ghur, the savage Realm of Beasts, where you'll have to contend with a hostile environment.
When the forces of Order dispatch the celestial, reforged champions called Stormcast Eternals rise to reclaim the realm. However, their foothold is tenuous, and their fortress settlement soon comes under siege from the native Kruleboyz Orruk faction.
As well as the solo campaign and its diverse selection of mission types and modes, Realms of Ruin includes 1v1 and 2v2 cross-platform online multiplayer modes, making for what Frontier dubs the “definitive real-time strategy experience based on Games Workshop’s ultimate fantasy miniatures game”.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with an upcoming open beta on the cards, and the first gameplay to be shown in June.
