Swedish developer Hadoque has revealed Ultros, a psychedelic loop-based metroidvania adventure featuring “otherworldly” artwork from Hotline Miami's El Huervo.
Transporting players to a lush alien landscape teeming with life, Ultros harbours an array of cosmic mysteries and secrets within its world of ‘The Sarcophagus’. Of course, some of the exotic lifeforms you encounter will happily rip your face right off.
Engaging in blade-wielding combat, you'll be able to hack monsters to ribbons, while cultivating a blooming network of greenery. And should you fall in battle, The Sarcophagus's strange powers and demonic being within will send you into a time loop. With each loop, your understanding of Ultros' world will develop, as will your mastery of your blade.
Ultimately, you'll need to break the cycle of life and death when Ultros launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
