Sony has lifted the lid on The Last of Us Part II Remastered's three ‘Lost Levels', which will offer access to playable, unfinished scenarios cut from the original The Last of Us Part II.

“Lost Levels let you explore early-development versions of three new levels not seen in the original The Last of Us Part II: Sewers, Jackson Party and Boar Hunt,” a product page for the remaster reveals. “Enjoy hours of new developer commentary about The Last of Us Part II’s development as you experience the game.”

Additionally, the new roguelike ‘No Return’ survival mode will also enable you to play as various The Last of Us characters, including Dina, Jesse, Lev, Tommy, and others. “Survive as long as you can in each run as you choose your path through a series of randomized encounters featuring different foes and memorable locations from throughout The Last of Us Part II, all culminating in tense boss battles," the description reads.

“Unique gameplay modifiers can offer new and unexpected challenges as you fight to succeed – and survive – in a host of different encounter types," it adds, noting that each playable character comes with their own unique traits, supporting different playstyles. You can also unlock new skins for No Return characters, as you progress.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be coming to PS5 on 19th January 2024, offering a Fidelity Mode with 4K resolution, 1440p upscaled 4K in Performance Mode, and an unlocked frame rate for VRR displays, as well as enhanced textures, draw distance, shadows, and more.
