While the idea of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover coming to Street Fighter 6 seemed rather exciting, it turns out that the reality of it is anything but, with the various themed items bearing outrageous, exorbitant prices. To acquire all of the TMNT crossover, content, you'll need to part with $100/£80.
Individual Turtles outfits, enabling you to dress your avatar as Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, or Michelangelo, cost 750 Fighter Coins (SF6's premium currency) per outfit, which would require the purchase of a 1,250 Fighter Coin bundle - the equivalent of about $24/£19. Masks in each of the four TMNT colours will set you back 250 Fighter Coins.
As VGC notes, it would cost a total of 5,300 Fighter Coins to purchase every sticker set and camera frame for your in-game phone in World Tour (100 Fighter Coins each), every taunt (250 FC), and every wallpaper for the in-game phone (100 FC), and every TMNT outfit. Two bundles of 2,750 Fighter Coins would be required, totalling $99.98/£79.96.
Bear in mind that not only does the game itself cost $59.99/£54.99, but the TMNT outfits are just that - outfits. We're not talking bonus playable characters like Injustice 2's take on the Turtles, which cost significantly less than this. As crossovers go, this one feels especially galling - our enthusiasm has gone right down the sewer.
Street Fighter 6 is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, while the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle collaboration runs for a limited time.
