Developer Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be addressing one of the main complaints levelled at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, namely, having to backtrack a lot to explore levels due to the lack of fast travel. Happily, the sequel will be adding the ability to fast travel from one region to another.

What's more, as well as being able to tame creatures, Survivor will also enable you to ride them around as mounts. And with Respawn planning more expansive worlds, alongside “evolved” combat and traversal, being able to get around more easily using fast travel and mounts is a welcome addition.

“We will feature both fast travel and rideable creatures to help players quickly get from point A to B, and back to A," Game Director Stig Asmussen revealed to PLAY Magazine. ”The fast travel is point to point, and the rideable creatures offer a way to quickly negotiate between points and explore what is in between."

Good news. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 28th April.

  • Fast travel would be great - I would get a literal headache from trying to find the collectibles and the route to take to get from A to B.
  • Sweet, not looking forward to backtracking for that plat in part I.
