SEGA has announced that Sonic Origins Plus is out now, adding 12 Game Gear titles to the Sonic the Hedgehog compendium, as well as the ability to play as Sonic's pink-hued love interest, Amy Rose.
Originally released as plain old Sonic Origins last year, with the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis versions of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles, alongside Mega CD entry Sonic CD, the Plus version adds even more content to the collection.
All twelve Game Gear Sonic the Hedgehog games are playable in Sonic Origins Plus via the in-game museum, with anyone who already owns Sonic Origins able to upgrade via Sonic Origins Plus Expansion Pack for $9.99/£8.99. The twelve additional games are:
Sonic Origins Plus is out now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, priced $39.99/£34.99, bundling the extra games and the previously released Classic Music Pack and Premium Fun Pack DLC.
