Shadow Warrior 3 will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this month as the all-singing, all-dancing Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition, boasting new features, performance enhancements, and more. It'll be available existing owners of Shadow Warrior 3 as a free upgrade.

Boasting all of the same ultra-violent gunplay, sharp melee combat, and free-running traversal from 2022's original release, the Definitive Edition of Shadow Warrior will also include a new Survival Mode, New Game Plus, a Chapter Select, and Hardcore Mode. Survival Mode will be unlocked upon finishing the main story, and offers three battle arenas, and three weapon skins to earn for completing the challenge.

As for Chapter Select, that will enable you to return to Shadow Warrior 3 to scoop up any missing upgrades for protagonist Lo Wang, while New Game Plus will enable you to relive his latest mythical adventure all over again, with your weapons and upgrades intact. A punishing new Hardcore Difficulty will also be available, with new challenges, rewards, and skins.

Finally, Hero Mode will add a modifier that limits Lo Wang's life to a limited number of respawns, earned only by carrying out Finishers. Run out of respawns, and you'll lose your progress and have to start again.

Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 16th February, with a 60fps mode or a mode with boosted 4K resolution at 30fps. On PS5, the game will also have DualSense haptic feedback and controller speaker support.
