Developer Mad Head Games has released a new making of video for Scars Above, its upcoming sci-fi third-person shooter, boasting challenging gameplay, an “intricate” narrative, and a mysterious alien world to explore.
Playing as spacefaring scientist Dr Kate Ward, you'll investigate an imposing alien structure known as ‘The Metahedron’ within Earth's orbit, only to awaken in a strange and hostile new environment, having been hurled across space to a strange extrasolar planet. Kate must find her missing crew, and determine what happened.
That means scanning and analysing alien flora and fauna, acquiring knowledge to craft elemental weapons, gadgets, and consumables. It also means blasting monstrous extraterrestrials, using the environment to your advantage, while exploiting enemy weaknesses.
You can check out the new video below for insights into art, design, and other creative aspects of Scars Above, ahead of its release for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on 28th February.
