Capcom has unveiled the Separate Ways story DLC for Resident Evil 4, finally bringing the bonus episode from the original game - featuring Ada Wong on a secret mission - to the remake next week.

In Separate Ways, Ada reunites with Leon S. Kennedy, helping in the search for the US President's missing daughter, Ashley. Under orders from Albert Wesker, Ada is also tasked with locating and extracting the Los Illuminados' cult's darkest secret - a mysterious substance called ‘the Amber’.

As in the original Separate Ways episode, unlocked upon completing Resident Evil 4, Ada will have a grappling gun and elite-level combat skills. Unlike the original, however, Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways will cost you $9.99 (or your regional equivalent) when it launches on 21st September for  PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Additionally, a free Resident Evil 4 VR Mode update will be coming this winter, thrusting you right into the midst of the action, with PlayStation VR2 Sense controls for realistic weapon handling, enhanced knife action, and dual-wielding. A free RE4 The Mercenaries update will also be available on 21st September, adding Ada and Wesker to the lineup as playable characters.

  • Can't wait, one of the best remakes ever, just behind Dead Space Remake. Now I just hope the RE4R VR has either it's own trophy list, I mean totally seperate from the main game to not f### over people without VR, or at the least be able to unlock trophies from the game base game while in vr mode.
  • @1
I hope you like to finish the game around 8 times again to get plat. trophy
  • @2 8 playthroughs for the plat, what are you smoking, can easily be done in 5/6(depending if you want to use mercs for hand cannon or not), maybe less if you feel like more of a challenge and combine knife/pistol only, no merchant and no healing.
  • @ModernSith2010, Haha yeah that's much better

OT: Shame it's paid, think I'll skip it then, never got any of the other DLC's and don't believe I ever missed out.
