Sony has announced a selection of deals for Black Friday, encompassing a sale on the PlayStation Store across games, hardware, and more, as well as discounts on the PlayStation Gear Store and PlayStation Direct for a limited time.

At PlayStation Direct and selected retailers, you'll find deals on PS5 console bundles (including the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 one), DualSense wireless controllers, PS5 console covers, and select games for PS5, PS4, and PC.

There will be 30% off a 12-month PlayStation Plus membership, too, as well as 25% off an upgrade to PlayStation Plus Extra or 30% off an upgrade to PlayStation Plus Premium. As for deals on games, expect money off the likes of EA Sports FC 24, NBA 2K24, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and many more via the PlayStation Store when the Black Friday sale commences on 17th November and runs through 27th November.

  • Increasing the price 33% and then show the discount at 30%. Still more expensive, than before xD
  • Meanwhile I'm over here looking at the prices of used games for the PS+ titles I've lost access to since my sub lapsed last January that I'd still like to have.
  • i welcome games in sale :)
  • Imagine having a sale and still end up paying more than you used too ...
  • Here I am agonizing over whether the convenience and security of cloud saves (not to mention it being the only way to save scum on PS5 to save myself extra playthroughs when going for annoying trophies) is worth buying the discounted PS+ subscription and reward Sony for their shitty business practices and contempt for their customers.
  • I'm here, i brought tissues and foldable corners and some puppies for the whiners.

Brought popcorn for the rest of us.

If i was as unhappy as a lot of these people i surely wouldn't be gaming......
  • Ya know. You guys could go to Xbox, where things are way more expensive and you get less. You could pay for a controller, then have to pay for a charging pack. Then pay more for Gamepass than sony's most expensive choice and get way less.
  • don;t know why people are so pissed at the price rise of plus. you get your money back from just one month of free games paying for premium. it's a great deal if you ask me, you don't like it? then don't pay. simple really.
  • @plisken1979:
Reducing the quality of the service while asking for money does that to people.

I must have missed the "money back" part. I get a bunch of games that often times are rather cheap on sale anyway. Which is when I might have bought them already. And I get a shit load of games I am only interested in playing because I got them through the subscription. Getting 100 dollars worth of items you wouldn't have bought in the first place for 50 dollars still means you are losing 50 dollars.

Also just in case people still haven't understand this: there is no way for people to just pay for online and/or cloud storage. If you have no interest in the games, you are still paying for them. If all you do is playing FIFA and COD online, you still need to have at least Essential even when you don't even claim the games.
  • @c1ned1ne "Reducing the quality of the service"

How? They're adding more games each month than how many leave the service. Only getting better in my experience.

"And I get a shit load of games I am only interested in playing because I got them through the subscription. Getting 100 dollars worth of items you wouldn't have bought in the first place for 50 dollars still means you are losing 50 dollars."

Wow, your logic and math really suck. You say you get lots of games you're interested in playing thanks to the service and yet you're complaining that you have to pay for them. And $100 (or whatever it is now) a year is dogshit money considering the value of AAA games alone in their library. If you do any serious gaming at all you'll cover the annual sub fee in 4-5 months even if those games were on sale.

I have a list of PS Extra games I finished and last year and they were well over $350 in value. This year (I'm just 5 months into the 2nd year sub) games I've finished are already at $150+ and I have another 15 lined up. To say that you're not getting your $100 worth of games is idiotic.

  • Really should have gotten that deal back in April, ah well, will still happily take this discount.
