Having let slip Persona 3 Reload, a remake of Persona 3, Atlus has also accidentally outed Persona 5 Tactica, a cutesy take on Persona 5, which happens to be a turn-based XCOM-style strategy game. It's due to release in November.
Like Persona 5, the new game will bring together the Phantom Thieves once again, stealing hearts and all that. The twist this time is the game's tactical leanings, as the title suffix suggests. Again, like the Persona 3 Reload leak, the trailer carries Xbox branding, but we can't imagine the game will be skipping PlayStation.
Persona 5 Tactica is set to launch on 17th November 2023, presumably for both PS5 and PS4. You can check out the leaked trailer below, and presumably look forward to an official announcement during the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday.
I really like the genre and gameplay for his, but the style... This Persona Q like art is really not my cup of tea. But will play it regardless of course :D
I've really only enjoyed pure tactics-style games on portable devices (PSP/PS Vita). I tend to think of it as "grinding maps on the go." I'm always down for more Persona so I'll still check it out.
