Described as a “scathingly satirical news-editing adventure”, Not For Broadcast will be making the jump from PC to console this March, developer NotGames and publisher tinyBuild have announced. The game will release for PlayStation and Xbox, alongside the ‘Live & Spooky’ DLC, adding a special supernatural broadcast.

In Not For Broadcast, you'll find yourself working in an unhinged British live TV studio during an alternate 1980s, editing Channel One's National Nightly News show on the fly. Your job is to ensure the show goes on no matter what, dealing with temperamental newscasters and guests, choosing camera angles, bleeping out swearing or dangerous speech, and make seemingly minor cuts that could change the course of history.

A stressful job is made easy thanks to the ‘Channel One editing deck interface’, enabling you to switch video feeds at the touch of a button, clear up static using a tuner, and pick the best sponsor tapes to run during breaks. Just make sure to keep an eye on the ratings, and ensure your audience stays tuned.

Not For Broadcast will be coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on 23rd March, with the Live & Spooky DLC, which features “deep, dark secrets” to uncover on an abandoned backlot.
