In the first part of our frank and open discussion with Irrational Games and BioShock Infinite’s Ken Levine, the Creative Director talked about the industry, BioShock Infinite’s delay and much more.

In the second part, we touch upon creating the original BioShock’s atmosphere in Infinite, Levine’s post-development blues following the launch of the original BioShock, how they avoided creating a “Poochie” and many more fascinating topics. That’s how we roll.

You’ve still got just over a month before Infinite launches so soak up this interview in the meantime (and of course, part one is just a click away if you missed it too), oh, and read our in-depth hands-on too, with no spoilers, of course.

  • Where is Bioshock Vita
  • Keven Levine, a guy who knows how to please fans, man you guys know how to make games. He needs to be proud of himself to have created such amazing titles. I can not wait to launch Infinite for the first time. Can this guy actually make a bad game?
  • He seems so chill. Can't wait for Infinite!
  • Damn I can't wait for Bioshock Infinite... Getting the Songbird Edition to, gonna be great. And like #1 said, a Bioshock Vita game would be amazing, I'd buy it without question. =D
  • I just bought the jpn version of Bioshock to get warmed up for this. cannot wait. looks great.
  • @1&4 Blame Sony, Ken Levine didn't actually want to annouce Bioshock Vita since him and the IG team prefer to work on one project at a time. They've only just finished Bioshock Infinite and I'd imagine they'd want some time before they even begin concept work for Bioshock Vita. Ken actually told Sony this who went out and announced Bioshock Vita anyway. So yeah blame Sony their the assholes who announced a game before the creators were actually ready to make it. It's coming but it'll be a while unless you want another Bioshock 2.
  • @7 ken announced it though....
  • #6 seriously WTF man. ARE YOU FOR REAL??? Trying to hijack a BioShock Infinite page, for shame! FOR SHAME!!! Back to Ken, to me, when I think gaming, when I think "god", ken Levine is as close as a mortal can ever get, the man is seriously a master of his craft. Can-not-wait for BSI!! PlayStation magazine had a 5 hour unrestricted hands with BioShock infinite and said, quote "we get sky hooked on this best-in-series sequel", as if that's not a big enough call saying its better than BioShock 1 from a 5 hour session, they go on to 'hint' that they're betting on GOTY... Me too! Want it now!
  • @8 They asked him to. He personally wanted to wait till Bioshock Infinite was finished. He said all this when asked were Bioshock Vita was stating it wouldn't even be in the concept stage till he was done with Infinite at the very least. @9 Are you for real? Not everyone is a delusional fanboy and yes Sony were the ones who wanted to announce Bioshock Vita right away despite Irrational Games being a company who work on one title at a time. Also seriously trying to hijack a Bioshock Infinite page?! Take your petty fanboyism away from this, I'm just stating the facts. IG Wanted to wait, Sony wanted to announce it ASAP.
