Deadpool has been breaking the fourth wall in Marvel comic books for years, forging his career as gun for hire with his Wolverine-like healing factor and sharp tongued wit. He's progressively risen in popularity in recent years too, with several of his own solo comic book series' and a role in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Now he's set to be the star of his very own video game, lampooning the Marvel universe, movies, music and whatever else is fair game. He's not called the 'Merc with a mouth' for no reason, and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron developer is making every effort to bring the character to life in Deadpool.

Hanging out in Activision's press area in the Gamescom business centre, we were able to grab a few minutes to talk to Deadpool's Game Director, Sean Miller about bringing Deadpool to consoles, breaking the fourth wall and getting the character just right for the fans. Check out our interview with Miller, and read our first look preview for more.

  • This could be one of the best marvel games or one of the worst. Please don't ruin my favourite marvel character. Nolan north voicing old dp is a great start.
  • The best Marvel game so far is Xmen Origins... I love Deadpool, so I hope they can pull it off, From what I've been hearing, that new Transformer game is the BEST one yet, so that gives me a bit of hope for Deadpool...
  • woaw, he winks with his mask on.. Really looking forward to this game, it better not suck.
  • Glad they found a great game. High Moon studios might have what it takes to be successful. One thing that I wish High Moon studios shouldn't never had done was that last Jak and Daxter game, The Lost Frontier. They screwed up on that game but I have a good feeling about this Deadpool game.
  • Hope it is a really good game. Anybody hear of an estimated release date n nit just 2012-13?
  • @4 The Lost Frontier was made by High Impact Games, and yes, it did suck.
  • O God Half Moon Studio's is making this game. The transformers games were terrible
  • @8 I wouldn't say they were terrible, I mean, Iron Man was terrible, Transformers was ok. I'm not interested in the series though, so, I sold the one I had. I hope this is turns out good though.
