Frank West Spotted in Lost Planet 2

During a Lost Planet 2 co-op presentation in London last Friday, Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2 producer, Jun Takeuchi, whilst showing off the game's customisation options revealed that Frank West would appear as an in-game skin.

Frank West is set to join the likes of Albert Wesker and will feature in the title equipped with a teddy bear rucksack and his trademark leather jacket.

There is no word as of yet regarding which platform Frank West will appear on, but with the presentation taking place on a Xbox 360, we can't 100% confirm it for PS3 just yet. However, considering that Dead Rising is a Capcom franchise, a 360 exclusive character wouldn't make that much sense.

Could Frank West be a pre-order incentive now that Wesker is seemingly available to all? When we hear more, we'll be sure to let you know.

  • Hi Webb! :) I can easily see Frank West being a 360 exclusive, myself... The first Dead Rising was, so it seems natural to assume that he won't be in the PS3 version of this game. Marcus and Dom aren't going to be on the PS3 version either, right? Of course, that's still just my thoughts on it.
  • @#1 - Well, Dead Rising 2 is on the PS3. And yes, Marcus and Dom are 360 only.
  • Yeah, Dead Rising 2 is on PS3, but Dead Rising 2 doesn't star Frank West. Probably part of why I can easily see Frank being 360 exclusive.
  • I dont care about either franchise. More interested in WESKER!
  • @#3 - Well, Frank West was in Tatsunoko vs Capcom on the Wii, so just because the 360 version of Dead Rising was a console exclusive, doesn't mean that MS own any rights to the series or Frank West.
  • as long as it's not Fred West... Google him
  • Interesting...considering the 360 version is also getting the Gears of War crew into Lost Planet...i am really interested to see what the ps3 version has in store. but if nothing comes up, i may have to get it on 360...time will tell
  • IF WESKER ISNT ON THE PS3 VERSION THAT WOULD BE THE STUPIDNEST AND IF XBOX 360 GOT HIM AND NOT PS3 THAT WOULD BE THE GAYEST THING SONY AND CAPCOM HAS EVER DONE.
  • That is one of the coolest covers ever.
  • @5: Didn't know about that one. But I wasn't trying to say that MS owns any rights to Frank, just that I could see why he would only be in the 360 version. Not so much anymore if he was also in a Wii game, though.
  • @5 are you forgetting that he was on the Wii also in chop till you drop or whatever it was called?
