Judas is BioShock Creator Ken Levine's New Game, Check Out First Trailer Here

Ghost Story Games, the studio set up by BioShock creator Ken Levine, has announced its debut game, Judas, with an explosive trailer.

It should perhaps come as no surprise to see that Judas pulls a lot of elements from Levine's previous games, such as System Shock, BioShock, and BioShock Infinite. In the trailer, we see players playing from a first-person view, weapon in one hand, and elemental superpowers in the other. However, the art style is much more colourful and cartoonish, and there's a sci-fi space setting as well.

“A disintegrating starship. A desperate escape plan. You are the mysterious and troubled Judas. Your only hope for survival is to make or break alliances with your worst enemies. Will you work together to fix what you broke – or will you leave it to burn?” reads the official description.

You can (and probably should) check out the trailer down below - it's a pretty good one. Judas is launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

  • Looks really, really good. However it does look like a Bioshock clone, when it first started playing I thought it was going to be Bioshock 3. But still think it looks brilliant and want to play it.
  • I'd be more excited for this game if the protagonist didn't look like some Only Fans whore with a gravely, vocal fry voice.

I'm not against female heroes in survival horror games. The character design and voice acting of Amanda Ripley in Alien Isolation was on point and was credible. The trollop running around this game is not.

Ken Levine is an ass, and this game has been in development hell for a long time. My expectations are managed. Atomic Heart looks more interesting, personally.
  • @2 I mean, with that intro sentence, you either are generally against female heroes, or your comedic skill is as low as Al Pacino’s award presenting skill
  • @2 Sounds like your typical triggered toxic male response. "This woman doesn't look or sound like I want her to, I'll call her a bitch or a whore"

I bet you're a blast in real life, you probably think you're some sort of rebel, against the grain, sticking it to the man by using a thesaurus for your internet put downs when really you're just a brainwashed tool of the patriarchy.

On this website, I've seen you be racist, sexist, homophobic and everything in between. Take a nap mate. We get it, freedom of speech but do you have to be such a horrible cunt all the time?

Nobody thinks your funny, nobody thinks your cool, and nobody thinks your clever. I hope this response satisfied your desperate need for attention.

@PST - This guy is toxic for every comment thread, you may as well rename your page dreadnaught trophies.com
  • *you're

I'm sure you'll start with that if you return comment but I hope you understand that humans are fallible.
  • @ JuggernautClone -- Learn to read. What does my post say:

"I'm not against female heroes in survival horror games. The character design and voice acting of Amanda Ripley in Alien Isolation was on point and was credible."

@ Dahmer286 -- I don't have the time to unpack your drama and issues, so I'm not going to bother.

I expressed my opinion that the design of the player character in this game is a poor choice and is not credible given the setting. I went on to give an example of a more credible design choice. None of this is prohibited.

This offended you apparently, so instead of moving on with your life, you throw a tantrum like a baby and put words in my mouth, which I did not even remotely say. Then you go on attack me personally, which is prohibited behavior.

I am not racist, homophobic, or misogynist, so you can rest easy. Nor do I want attention. I would say your white-knighting / simping in defense of the virtue of some character artist's wet dream as if it were a real person is more demonstrative of intense loneliness and a desperate cry for attention. The psychological term for this is projection. But what do I know. I'm sure you're not lonely at all and have a wonderful life. I do! The only thing I wish I had was more hours in the day.

For the record, I post far more positive stuff these days than negative. This is because there is a lot more positive in gaming these days than in prior years, though there are still some major problems. To my credit, I commented on 5 trailers last night. 3 positive, 1 mixed, 1 negative. Feel free to dig up my posting history and do an audit, if you want to see. But I get it -- it is much to easier throw a fit and say I am "negative" based on one post you didn't like. So cry it all out and scream into the void. Maybe it'll make you feel better.

Anyway, I hope you got it out of your system. I'm not going anywhere. You can have the last word.
  • @dreadnaught_, 'You can have the last word.' This is such a pathetic protection mechanism so you hope people look bad for responding to you or you hope you don't have to respond to valid arguments against you. In both cases it's just sad, either stand by your point and discuss it or let it go. Don't be so childish.

OT: Looks like Bioshock 4 which looks really great!
  • @3: Like I said, Dreadnaught_ is a useful idiot to the anti-woke crowd.

Can't wait for someone screenshot dreadnaught_ comments and post them to the subreddit of gamingcirclejerk.
  • @6 Oh I read your post, unfortunately. The problem doesn’t lie in my reading comprehension, but in your writing logic, as you clearly contradict yourself in only 2 sentences. If you find describing a woman in a video game or in real life as an “OnlyFans whore” as a good descriptor, I don’t know how to help you see the folly in your comment.
  • What I would like to know, since when did wearing a tank top, jeans and trainers make you a "whore"?
  • @10 It’s always been that way for people who are conservatively/religiously social
  • @DN - You're comment pissed me off so I told you why. I generally don't engage with people on the internet and their 'opinions' but I felt the need for whatever reason. I'm not in need of attention, I'm raising a little girl in a world of toxic masculinity and 'white knighting' doesn't even come close.

You may think what you will about me, this is probably the 20th comment I've posted on the internet in its entirety so I'm hardly trying to make a movement here.... I just know I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't at least try to advise someone that calling a woman a slut or a whole based off how they look is not right.

My aggression only conveys my passion to get the point across, I'm working on delivery methods.

None of us are perfect, feel free to get me banned from the site, nobody would miss me and I wouldn't miss out. I only hoped that you might get a slap on the wrist to make you refrain from toxic comments because that would actually make this page a better place.
  • Just as a side note I have no issue with your negativity and have openly agreed with your criticisms in the past. It's just the mysoginist gay bashing racism side of you I have a problem with, sort that out and we can all be good mates
