EA looks to have accidentally revealed the release date for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor earlier than planned.
The official Steam page for the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was updated today with a release date of 16th March 2023, along with plenty of details on different versions, pre-orders, and more (via Gematsu). However, shortly after being updated, the page has been reverted to normal, with all of the new information removed.
As well as the new release date, the updated Steam page also included a new and expanded description of the game, confirming that it takes place five years after the events of the first game, and follows “Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness”.
“Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar. As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times—but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order?”
The removed information reveals that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will have new lightsaber fight styles and and Force abilities, as well as new planets and “familiar frontiers”.
It looks like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be launching on 16th March 2023 then, which matches up with a previous report on the release date. Perhaps we'll be getting a full reveal at the Game Awards later this week?
