Following yesterday's inevitable leak, Sony has today officially confirmed December's PlayStation Plus Essential games, and it turns out that said leak was entirely on-the-money once again. Mass Effect Legendary Edition heads things up, alongside two other titles.
If BioWare's seminal sci-fi trilogy doesn't tickle your fancy, then you can give post-apocalyptic kung-fu adventure Biomutant a try, or engage in mythical brawls with gods in Divine Knockout: Founder's Edition, which arrives as a day one release via PlayStation Plus for PS5 and PS4. A third-person platform fighter, Divine Knockout has ten playable gods to choose from, including Hercules, Thor, and several others.
The game includes a 3v3 Arcade mode, hardcore 1v1 and 2v2 Duels, cross-play, cross-progression, and, with the Founder's Edition, you also get bonus content and a DKO-inspired skin to use in SMITE. You'll be able to download Divine Knockout, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and Biomutant from Tuesday 6th December.
In the meantime, you can still get your hands on November's PlayStation Plus Essential lineup of Nioh 2, LEGO Harry Potter Collection, and Heavenly Bodies. December's PlayStation Plus Essential picks will be available until 2nd January 2023, and the Extra and Premium catalogue update will be announced later in December.
