Konami has announced Silent Hill f, an entirely new entry in the Silent Hill series, written by Japanese visual novel writer Ryūkishi07, and developed by Taiwan-based studio NeoBards Entertainment. It's one of several Silent Hill projects in the pipeline, alongside Bloober's Silent Hill 2 remake for PS5 and PC.

Perhaps best known for multiplayer RE game Resident Evil Re:Verse (which still has yet to see the light of day), NeoBards' take on Silent Hill will feature a 1960s-set narrative, and take place in a “beautiful, yet horrifying” version of Japan.

Its writer is also well-versed in murder mystery, as well as psychological and supernatural horror, so Silent Hill f should be rather intriguing, if nothing else. However, we currently have no idea when Silent Hill f will be releasing, or what platforms its coming to. So, erm… watch this space?

  • Considering Re:Verse still hasn’t released I’m not holding my breath for this being out in the next few years
  • Silent hill flowers. Gotcha
  • Was very exciting when seeing this trailer, but knowing it's from 'Re:Verse' developers I kinda lost all hope already.
  • I really like what i see here, very heavy on symbolisms.
