Publisher Kalypso Media and Polish studio The Dust S.A. have announced that The Inquisitor, a dark fantasy adventure, will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC next year.
Set within an “alternate religious and historical timeline”, The Inquisitor will see embroiled in wanton violence and heinous sin, as you attempt to unravel a cryptic mystery. The alternate timeline takes place circa 1500 AD, in a world in which Jesus escaped crucifixion, and sought to exact violent revenge upon non-believers.
As Mordimer Madderdin, the Inquisitor of the title, you'll cast morality aside to investigate the crime and corruption that's consumed the blood-soaked city of Koenigstein, interrogating suspects, piecing together clues, and using brute force where necessary. Whether you choose to show mercy or enact holy vengeance falls to you.
Mordimer will also be able to enter the strange ‘Unworld’, where you'll find dark secrets lying deep within the souls of the truly depraved. It all sounds rather intense. The Inquisitor will await your judgement when it launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in Q4 2023.
