Fortnite Celebrates Five Years of Battle Royale With Special Quests

Matt Lorrigan

Fortnite Battle Royale is kicking off its fifth birthday celebrations today with new quests to take on.

While Fortnite first launched in early access in in July 2017, the battle royale portion of the game didn't arrive until 27th September 2017, nearly five years ago.

As part of Fortnite's fifth birthday celebrations, the Battle Bus will be flying with a new birthday-themed paintjob. Once on the island, you'll be able to find a Birthday Present filled with high-grade loot, health-restoring birthday cake, and even balloons.

You can use these items to complete limited time Birthday Quests, from today to 27th September 2022. Completing these quests will reward players with special birthday items -the Fuzzfetti Cake Back Bling, Celebratory Slice Pickaxe, and Sparklecake Emoticon.

Alongside new quests and items comes the return of Fortography. Players are encouraged to share a Fortnite screenshot depicting a birthday celebration, using the hashtag #FNBR5.

  • I played it one time for less than an hour. I'm proud of that lol.

Conning? I mean they know exactly what they are buying when they buy skins and stuff.
