Square Enix has announced that Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, the remake of the original Valkyrie Profile released for PS1 in 1999 and later ported to PSP, has been delayed on PS5 and PS4. Access to the game will be included with the Digital Deluxe Edition of Valkyrie Elysium, which is due to launch next week.

"As we celebrate the upcoming launch of Valkyrie Elysium, we unfortunately need a bit more time for Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth to improve the quality of the title and have decided to move the release date to December 22nd, 2022," Square Enix explained in a statement posted to Twitter.

With Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth now delayed, anyone who pre-orders or purchases the Valkyrie Elysium Digital Deluxe Edition via the PlayStation Store, will receive the game when it launches on 22nd December, or, you'll be able to purchase it standalone. As for Valkyrie Elysium, that will still be coming to PS5 and PS4 on 29th September as planned.

A free Valkyrie Elysium demo is also available now, with save data transfer to the full game.
