After more than a year as a PS5 console exclusive, Deathloop will be receiving a new Goldenloop Update tomorrow, as the game makes its way to Xbox. The update will include several new items and features for Deathloop, following May's update, which added new accessibility options and a Photo Mode.

In the Goldenloop Update, you'll find the new HALPS Prototype weapon, enabling you to blast enemies with glowing red laser death; the enemy-confusing Fugue Slab; new Paint-Bomber Eternalist enemy; the chance to earn double Trinkets; an Enhanced Masquerade Slab upgrade; and more besides.

Cross-play Invasion Matchmaking will also feature in Deathloop for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, so you can ruin other players' loops as Colt or Julianna on different platforms. The Goldenloop Update will be coming to Deathloop on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 20th September, also available via PS Plus Extra and Premium.

  • Do people still play this? I have it on PC and the multiplayer is near unplayably laggy and the single player mode doesn't hold this much replay value, IMO, considering that the whole game is basically just replaying it. ^^
  • Look, extra content is nice and all but have they fixed all the crashes in the game? I have never played a game that has crashed more than this one making you lose all your progress. Almost quit the game.
  • I'm sure this will cause an uptick in players. I'll probably reinstall the game to try out the new content, especially since it sounds like there are a few new trophies.
  • @1 & @2 I’ve never experienced either of the issues you have mentioned. Picked the game up day one, and I’ve never had a laggy multiplayer match, (albeit that small spike when a new player joins your game)… and I’ve never had the game crash. Now I’ve not put in a ton of hours. I’m floating somewhere around 250. But I’m kinda shocked that such obvious issues have plagued others.

  • Didn't play too much of this game, but also didn't experience any crashes luckily. Really need to make time to play this game again and actually complete it.
