Assassin's Creed Infinity will be arriving sometime in 2024, serving as “the future of Assassin's Creed” with a series of connected titles all under one roof. Ubisoft has revealed the first of these games, Assassin's Creed Codename: Red and Assassin's Creed Codename: Hexe.

Codename: Red will at long last be taking the series to Feudal Japan, while Hexe will offer an AC experience rumoured to be set during the time of the Holy Roman Empire. The third title for Assassin's Creed Infinity will be Codename: Jade, an open world title set in China, developed for mobile devices.

Multiplayer could also be making a return as part of Assassin's Creed Infinity's connected platform, although in what form, we're currently unsure. You can find out more about Assassin's Creed Codename: Red and Codename: Hexe in the showcase video below.

In the meantime, Assassin's Creed Mirage will be the next AC title, coming in 2023.

  • Mobile game?.......smells like microtransactions
  • Wait, wait, wait they use Japan and China for a damn MOBILE GAME.

    F**********
  • @Doomsdayman Only the China one is going to be the mobile game, with character creation (and they would probably definitely find some way to MTX it). Project Red ie. Japan and Project Hexe (which is a German word for a hag/witch with magic powers apparently) are the next main titles in the series with Japan following the RPG formula and the team of Odyssey behind it. And Hexe is going to be 'something new' with the team of Valhalla behind it. The AC Infinity, whatever it is, is meant to somehow bring those two together and supposedly 'Connecting players in a whole new way'.. Not China it seems as the timeline they showed at the end of the event had only Red and Hexe inside the Infinity box. And multiplayer is back or will be back.

I want to be excited but I'm waiting for actual gameplay before deciding further. Still hoping for an AC1 Remake, that will (if it exists) probably be bundled with AC Mirage/Next AC season pass like they did AC3R. When I thought the VA of Shaun Hastings was one of the hosts, I thought we'd at least get something of the old.
  • I honestly am only looking forward to seeing the Roman one. So glad that's not mobile.
  • Was hoping for a AC 1 remake/remaster
  • @d3mystic Thanks for clearing that up. Still urg RPG mechanics. Hoped it would go back to stealth and assassination.
  • Infinity sound like it will be filled with NFT
  • Not interested for even one second in mobile AC or multiplayer AC, looks like the Japanese setting game is the only one i'll be looking to play.
  • "Hexe will offer an AC experience rumoured to be set during the time of the Holy Roman Empire"

    So across a thousand years?!
