Today sees the launch of The Last of Us Part I, bringing the 2013 original, remastered for PS4 in 2014, to PlayStation 5 via a fully rebuilt remake. Featuring revamped combat and completely upgraded visuals, Part I offers a chance for newcomers to experience Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic opus for the first time, or for seasoned veterans to play it all over again.

To coincide with the game's release, there's a seven-minute gameplay video to watch, as well as a couple of trailers revealing how Naughty Dog has given the art direction and combat the remake treatment. In case you missed it, we've also embedded our comparison video below, which offers a good look at how the PS5 remake of The Last of Us performs compared to its remastered PS4 counterpart.

You can experience Joel and Ellie's fraught journey across America in The Last of Us Part I for PS5 now, for the not insignificant sum of $69.99/£69.99. The Last of Us Part I Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for $79.99/£79.99, with a bunch of early unlocks. Or you can try and get the $99.99 The Last of Us Part I Firefly Edition, which is currently being scalped for $600. Bargain.

  • No one wants to pay the $70 as it is, who did they think would spend $600 for the firefly edition?
