SEGA has released a new patch for Sonic Origins, fixing one of the more glaring issues with its version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

The short patch notes (pulled from the PS4 update history by MP1ST) include a fix to correct and issue that players had experienced in Sonic 2, where Tails would disappear offscreen and be unable to rejoin the player.

As well as fixing the Tails glitch, the patch also adds features to the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles sound test, fixes some sound problems with the Classic Music Pack, and includes several additional bug fixes.

  • Added features to the “Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles” sound test
  • Fixed track mismatches in the Museum for certain music tracks included in the Classic Music Pack
  • Corrected an issue in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 where Tails goes off-screen and is unable to rejoin
  • Additional bug fixes

SEGA recently committed to fixing many of the issues in Sonic Origins, following general grumblings from the community, as well as some harsh words from Sonic Mania co-creator Simon Thomley.
