PlayStation is Holding an 'Evo Lounge' Live Stream During This Year's Event in Las Vegas

Sony has announced that PlayStation will be holding its own ‘Evo Lounge’ live broadcast during this year's Evolution Championship Tournament in Las Vegas, which will cover “all the competition's exciting events and content”. Promising curated “top-shelf coverage" hosted by players and commentators from across the fighting game community, the Evo Lounge will also include reveals from devs and publishers.

These include Arc System Works, Warner Bros. Games, Capcom, SNK, and Bandai Namco, covering games like Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Guilty Gear -Strive-, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XV, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, and Skullgirls: 2nd Encore.

Announcements are expected for Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, and Tekken are all expected during Evo, although Mortal Kombat maestro Ed Boon shut down any hopes of a Mortal Kombat announcement, stating on Twitter “....except Mortal Kombat. Sorry.” in response to speculation that MK 12 might be unveiled during the event. 

“Its time for Street Fighter and other great fighting games to be in the sun! Let's enjoy that!,” he added.
