Saints Row Has Gone Gold As its August Release Date Looms

Richard Walker

Saints Row has officially gone gold ahead of its impending August release date, publisher Deep Silver and developer Volition have confirmed. And so, Saints Row is now content complete, locked, and ready to ship in time for next month.

With just over a month to go until launch, however, Volition will no doubt be in the process of squashing bugs and ironing out any other issues for a potential day one patch, assuming it requires one. There are a lot of moving parts in the new city of Santo Ileso, which presents a sprawling desert playground for your custom character to carve out a rep for the Saints.

You can still create your custom criminal in the free Boss Factory demo, ensuring that you're ready to dive straight into Saints Row when it launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on 23rd August. You can check out our latest preview here, as well as a bunch of gameplay here. There are also voice cast videos to watch below.

  • What does that mean? Gold? Is it for the number of pre-orders?

  • No thanks. Eww Erica Lindbeck you look pig ugly with that ugly face make-up of yours.
  • Thanks for the responses but I would think that you would say 'Golden' if finished...not 'Gold'. Oh well...
