Square Enix has announced that Valkyrie Elysium, the latest entry in the Valkyrie action RPG series, will be arriving for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 this September. Developed by Soleil Ltd., Valkyrie Elysium tells an original story rooted in Norse mythology, in which the world teeters on the brink of annihilation.

Valkyrie Elysium features fast-paced combat and a deep combo system, presented in 4K at 60fps.The game's “epic story” will centre upon the coming of Ragnarok, and your mission to save a doomed world, as you play a lone Valkyrie created by the All-Father. You'll also be able to summon Einherjar warriors to fight at your side.

The release of Valkyrie Elysium will also be joined by a digital port of PSP title, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth (a version of the original game first released for PlayStation 1 in 1999), on the same day. You'll be able to get Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth standalone, or with the Digital Deluxe Edition of Valkyrie Elysium.

Valkyrie Elysium launches for PS5 and PS4 on 29th September (with the PC version to follow on 11th November), offering a Digital Deluxe Edition with 72-hour early access, the 'Svartaljr: Sword of the Goddess of the Underworld' to use in-game, and a digital copy of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for PS5 and PS4.

Pre-ordering Valkyrie Elysium will also grant the ‘lscir: Sword of the God of Light’ weapon to wield in the game, and a Valkyrie Elysium Avatar, while purchasing the game on PS4 will entitle you to a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version.
