Super Stardust Portable Has Quietly Joined the PlayStation Plus Premium Library Today

With the all-new PlayStation Plus rolling out in the UK and Europe today, Super Stardust Portable, the PSP version of Super Stardust HD originally released in 2008, is the latest title to join the Plus Premium library. Its arrival has been oddly quiet, however, slipping into the line-up without fanfare.

The space shmup from Returnal studio Housemarque was celebrated upon its release, offering fast and frantic arcade shooter action. Its addition to the PS Plus Premium library also makes it one of only two PSP games in the PSP category, joining minimalistic puzzler, Echochrome (also available to buy for $9.99/£7.99).

Super Stardust Portable is available to play via a subscription to PlayStation Plus Premium, but isn't available for individual purchase, like some of the other classic PlayStation titles included in the line-up, like Ape Escape and Syphon Filter. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going back to playing Ape Escape on my PS5. Thanks.

  • Sweet, hope they add more PSP games to the service. Was dissapointed that Daxter and Agent Clank were not in the list.
  • Got this game on Vita and was super addictive.

Hope they add Resistance for the psp. The game was good. Also, the ps2 & psone games are the same classics.
