During last night's State of Play, OlliOlli World developer Roll7 announced Rollerdrome, a single-player, third-person shooter in which your character whizzes around on rollerblades. And it looks like a lot of fun.
Fusing fluid skating and trick mechanics with shooter action, Rollerdrome features the same sort of ‘flow state’ gameplay as the OlliOlli series, albeit within the framework of a hybrid 'shooter-skater'. Set within a dystopian “retro-futuristic” universe, with a comic book art style, Rollerdrome also includes a ‘Darksynth’ soundtrack from artist, Electric Dragon.
You'll be able to visit the violent world of 2030 and partake in a brutal and violent arena sport as rollerskating hero Kara Hassan, when Rollerdrome launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 16th August 2022, priced $29.99/£24.99. Check out the reveal trailer here.
