The Quarry Online Multiplayer Delayed, Will Be Added via an Update in July

2K and developer Supermassive Games have announced that online multiplayer for The Quarry has been delayed, and won't be included in the game when it launches this June. Instead, it'll be deployed via an update in July.

The news drops alongside a new gameplay overview trailer, showcasing some of The Quarry's gameplay mechanics, alongside insights into the teen horror narrative from Director Will Byles. You can also find out more in our hands-on preview here.

The Quarry is due to launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on 10th June, while online multiplayer will be added to the game through an update scheduled for 8th July.

  • I still can't wrap my head around charging a set price for any game when portions of it won't come until later. If that's the case, why can't folks pay half the price upfront instead? Funny how it works.
