Today sees the limited-time Operation Monarch event going live Call of Duty: Warzone, seeing Godzilla and King Kong attempting to lay waste to Caldera, Godzilla with his Heat ray Breath and Kong with his big swinging fists. The event runs for two weeks, and has both movie monsters invading the map.

Where Godzilla will bombard players with his Heat Ray attacks, Kong is able to leap around the map, to keep you on your toes. Operation Monarch follows Resurgence rules and supports up to 60 players, with the objective of being the last team standing. By locating Monarch Intel in Supply Boxes, special drops, or fallen enemies, you can also charge a special meter to unlock Killstreaks and Loadout Drops.

This includes the powerful Titan Killstreak for completely filling the gauge, which is handy for combating Godzilla and Kong's so-called Titan Frenzy. Be the squad to deal the most damage to either monster during their Titan Frenzy, and you'll be rewarded with the Monarch S.C.R.E.A.M. Device, while runners-up will gain intel to earn their own S.C.R.E.A.M. Device.

Said device (the Titan Sonic Communication Radar and Echolocation Array Module) enables humans to communicate with Protector Titans like Godzilla and Kong, which means gaining one of two powers: either Godzilla's Heat Ray Breath or Kong's ground pound and rock throw.

Operation Monarch is available today in Call of Duty Warzone until 25th May, alongside three ‘Monsterverse Bundles’ inspired by Godzilla vs. Kong. These include the Tracer Pack: Mechagodzilla Limited Time Bundle, which bundles two ranged weapons with rapid-fire attachments. You can find out more in the trailers below.
