SNK has today released Omega Rugal as a free DLC character for The King of Fighters XV, seeing the return of the “overwhelmingly strong” manifestation of SNK Boss Syndrome, who undoubtedly caused many a player a stinging headache in KOF '95.
Described as a “dark arms merchant of death”, who once ruled the world's black market, Rugal debuts in KOF XV under Verse's influence, returning to the mortal realm to exact his vengeance. Omega Rugal arrives alongside the new Boss Challenge mode, in which you can take on the character and defeat him to unlock his special armour, a new stage, and new BGM.
You can add Omega Rugal to The King of Fighters XV's roster from today, then prepare to add a total of twelve other playable fighters via the game's Team Pass 1 throughout the year, boosting the base game's 39-strong roster to 52. Team Garou is the first three-person DLC team, available now.
