Developer Volition and publisher Deep Silver have announced plans for a Saints Row showcase next week, offering an in-depth look at the game's character customisation suite, hosted by Mica Burton.

The ‘Ultimate Customization Showcase’ will feature a trailer focusing upon “all aspects of player choice in the game”, in what promises to be “Volition's most powerful toolset to date”. Boundaries of gender and other restrictions have been removed, so you can deck out your bespoke Saint in any way you see fit.

Furthermore, you can expect a slew of vehicle options and weapon customisation tools, alongside the extensive character customisation suite. You'll be able to find out more when the Saints Row Ultimate Customization Showcase goes live (embedded below) on 20th April at 12pm PDT/8pm BST/9pm CEST.

Saints Row is set for release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on 23rd August. You can read more about the upcoming reboot in our preview here.

  • Muah ... just give us the damn video now. It's obivously done. I grow to passionately hate those teasers about teasers about trailers.
That's not how you increase hype, that's how you annoy the fuck out of potential buyers, oversaturate them and sour the game before its release.
  • New Saints Row is woke garbage anyway.
  • If I can customize so it they completely don't look like in the trailer but more like in Saints Row 3 and 4, then it's good.
  • Still have no interest whatsoever in “Hipster Avenue”
  • I expect nothing more than front and back jiggling animations as usual.
  • @Unger:
I fully expect you can still create a fat silver skinned clown. The Boss from the trailer was just chosen as androgyn and generic as possible ... to fit the times? Hey, the one before was generic dark haired dude.

Don't quite understand why people think it's "woke" and "hipster". One of the character is a hipster yes. Which is quite fitting. The cast was never about unique memorable characters in itself. We had Asian anger management issue guy, black R'n'B singer, stoner girl turned uber tough chick, Russian strong man, wanna-be pimp turned hip-hop business man, nerd girl, emo guy, ... they are all fricking stereotypes.
What made them memorable was the interaction.
  • @6 Well the people who label this game as "woke" are usually dumb gamerbros that watch fake outrage videos from whining Anti-SJW YouTubers.
