There are so many talented studios out there that specialize on ports and remasters and have done stellar jobs. Well, one less since yesterday. Why would they do it in-house when they already scramble for CP2077 DLC and the upcoming Witcher and whatever else might be in their pipeline? Bummer, but with so many games out there and a huge backlog to go through they can take the time they need to make it awesome.

CD Projekt RED has announced that the new-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been delayed out of a proposed Q2 2022 window, as it moves the remaining development work on the game in-house. Saber Interactive had been enlisted as developer on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.
Announced back in 2020, the new-gen version, dubbed ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition’ was on for a 2021 release, with new DLC inspired by the Netflix Witcher show to be included. A Q2 2022 window followed, and now, a further delay comes with no indication of when it'll eventually be arriving.
“We have decided to have our in-house development team conduct the remaining work on the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt,” the developer tweeted earlier today. “We are currently evaluating the scope of work to be done and thus have to postpone Q2 release until further notice… We’ll update you as soon as we can. Thank you for your understanding."
While CD Projekt RED hasn't offered an update on when we can expect to see The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, we can at least look forward to a third season of The Witcher on Netflix and the dawning of a new The Witcher saga, which is being built using Unreal Engine 5.
