GRID Legends Review: The Indomitable Spirit of TOCA Race Driver Lives On

Since 2008, GRID has become the new TOCA: Race Driver; developer Codemasters' sometimes narrative-driven racing series that's now five games in. Previous two instalments, GRID (from 2019) and GRID Autosport eschewed the staple story mode, however, but it's back in full effect for GRID Legends.

This time around, Codies is going all-in with live-action documentary-style presentation, as your generic 'Driver 22' is pitted against rival racers like Valentin Manzi and Nathan McKane. But that doesn't mean the baby has been thrown out with the bathwater – there's still a fully-fledged Career mode, too.

Nevertheless, does the new 'Driven to Glory' storyline provide enough drama on and off the track? Or is it stalled on the starting line? And does it still have that slick Codemasters racing gameplay?
