SEGA and Atlus have announced Soul Hackers 2, a brand new entry in the Shin Megami Tensei spin-off series, Devil Summoner.
The first Devil Summoner game - Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers - first released exclusively in Japan on the SEGA Saturn and PlayStation, before finally getting localised in a 3DS version back in 2013. Now, the sequel will be coming to the west just a day after its release in Japan, and it's coming to PS4 and PS5.
In this new game, a war between different bands of Devil Summoners threatens to bring about the apocalypse, and its up to protagonist Ringo and her team to “decrypt destiny” and save the world. Like the mainline SMT and Persona games, Soul Hackers 2 will have turn-based battles, with players controlling both human characters and a team of demons.
Soul Hackers 2 is due to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on 26th August 2022. You can check out the announcement trailer for yourself down below.
