Today saw CD Projekt RED rolling out its long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen update, landing slap-bang in Q1 2022 as promised back in November. Yes, it's been a long time coming, and it's finally here. But is the next-gen update worth the wait? We thought we'd investigate.
In case you're wondering what the new update does (which arrives alongside the massive 1.5 patch), on PlayStation 5, it serves up dynamic 4K resolution, faster loading times, various technical and visual improvements, and support for ray tracing. Performance Mode enables you to play at 60fps, while Ray Tracing Mode has ray tracing (obvs) at 30fps.
