Rugby 22 is out today on PS4 and PS5, bringing with it more international teams and new features.
For the first time in NACON's series of Rugby games, the New Zealand All Blacks and the Australian national team will be appearing in the game, complete with licensed and correct kits. On top of that, the All Blacks and the France national team are taking advantage of photogrammetry technology for the first time in the series' history, in order to capture player faces more accurately.
In terms of new features, Rugby 22 is introducing a new control scheme for touches, rucks, and mauls, as well as improved AI and a brand new difficulty mode for players who master the game. Rugby games have a bit of a checkered history, but hopefully Rugby 22 can prove to be another step forward for the franchise.
Rugby 22 is out now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
