Dying Light 2: Stay Human will only require around twenty hours for players to complete the main story, developer Techland has announced.
The Polish developer yesterday revealed that Dying Light 2 would require “at least 500 hours” to fully complete. While intended to be a positive announcement, the news was met with some scepticism, with some players worried that the game would be artificially padded out, and others just concerned that they'd never see the credits.
Techland later came out and confirmed this time was only needed to fully complete every aspect of the game, and that players who were taking their time would be able to beat the game, and most of its side quests, in under one hundred hours. A more manageable number, for sure, but still a decent commitment.
Now, the official Dying Light Twitter account has clarified matters once again, confirming that the main story alone will take around twenty hours to complete - which is much more inline with the original Dying Light game. Eighty hours is apparently needed to finish the main story and all of the side quests, while the five hundred hour number is related to unlocking all of the different choices, endings, dialogue, and collectibles.
“We wanted to clarify our recent communication about the amount of hours required to complete the game. Dying Light 2: Stay Human is designed for players with different gameplay styles and preferences to explore the world how they see fit.”
If you're craving more Dying Light 2 information, the final Dying 2 Know episode is releasing later this week, and we've got you covered with a Dying Light 2 gameplay preview too.
