Ubisoft is Looking Into Assassin's Creed Origins 60FPS Support

Matt Lorrigan

Ubisoft has announced that it is looking into updating Assassin's Creed Origins with support for 60FPS.

The announcement comes as part of the Assassin's Creed Day celebrations (which take place on 21st December due to the date's relevance in Assassin's Creed III) and sees Ubisoft committing to adding in a feature that fans have been requesting for the past few months.

Ubisoft previously updated Origins sequel Assassin's Creed Odyssey earlier this year, adding in 60FPS support for the game when played on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. Despite the lack of detail surrounding the Origins update, it's easy to assume that the update will be similar, likely doubling the framerate of the 2017 game when played on the current generation of consoles.

There's no word on exactly when the update will arrive, although we expect we won't have to wait too long to see it drop. In the meantime, you can check out our Assassin's Creed Origins review here.

  • Too late for me, already 100%
  • @ 1 Same here but as someone with a backlog of games from many years ago, if I hadn't already completed this game, this move would be appreciated. Ubisoft deserves a thumbs up for this.
  • @Raggle101, Definitely, I appreciate they did it for Odyssey, the game where I'm still at 1% XD
