Alan Wake 2 Officially Announced For 2023 Release on PlayStation 5

Richard Walker

Remedy Entertainment has, at long last, officially unveiled Alan Wake II, the sequel to, you guessed it, Alan Wake. This one sees Alan immersed even deeper into the realm of nightmares, and promises to be even scarier than the first game.

In fact, according to Remedy main man Sam Lake, Alan Wake II will see the studio venturing into full-blooded survival horror territory, moving closer to the likes of Silent Hill and Resident Evil. And since Alan Wake Remastered hit PlayStation earlier this year, you can now expect to see the follow-up on PS5.

Lake notes that the first game had horror elements, but Alan Wake II will be pure survival horror. So there you go. Alan Wake II will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2023, and we won't hear about it again for ages. Enjoy the teaser below.

  • I know there are many who are looking forward to this, but I'm not one of them. I really did not enjoy the first game at all, so I'll pass.

I'm glad, however, that it it will be multi-platform rather than XBox exclusive.
  • Jake Gyllenhaal?
  • Nice, I should really play the first one sometime
  • Now that's good news.
  • Can't wait to see more on this. The first game was great.
