Resident Evil Live Action Netflix Series Gets First Teaser

Remember the Resident Evil live-action Netflix series? Well, we've got our very first tiny teaser for the upcoming series.

Announced last year, it's been easy to forget in the wake of the Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City film and CGI Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. But let me refresh your memory - the show is due to follow Albert Wesker's children moving to New Raccoon City, uncovering secrets that could lead to the end of the world.

It is, at the very least, a new take on the Resident Evil franchise, unlike Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which is a new telling of both Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 combined.

The teaser was originally posted by Netflix, before being removed, but you can check it out - and its live-action zombie dog - in all of its 11 seconds down below.

  • Netflix needs to stop making adaptations of other properties.

Arguably their only successful one so far is the Witcher, which is a very low success rate considering how many times they have tried to adapt things.
  • This is gonna bomb so hard.. nothing is canon, there’s no point of this. It doesn’t add anything to the series.. why? Why even make this??

If you're only counting live action, then yes, that is the only really successful one, but if you count animated as well, Castlevania was successful too.

With the success rate of Netflix's adaptations, I'm glad the live action Final Fantasy XIV series they had planned has been seemingly scrapped, haven't heard anything in almost two years.
  • This already looks better than Welcome to Raccoon City
