Oops. This wasn't supposed to come out just yet, but Tory MP for Wantage and Didcot in the UK, Ed Vaizey has let slip Creative Assembly's new title based upon the Alien movie IP. It seems the developer is now hiring for the new game, which has yet to be officially announced.
"Great visit to Creative Assembly one of UK's best developers. Now hiring for new blockbuster based on Alien", Vaizey's tweet on his Twitter page declares.
The game has since been confirmed by Creative Assembly, who told CVG that it hopes to create an Alien game that will be a "peer to Dead Space 2". The developer has yet to reveal what genre the game will adopt, but if it's anything like Dead Space 2, it'll be a third-person action title, rather than a strategy game, which is what the studio is best known for with its Total war series on the PC.
"This is very much a triple-A project," said Sega West boss Mike Hayes. "The direction we've given Creative Assembly is to win awards. We want this to be a peer to the likes of Dead Space 2."
Creative Assembly has confirmed that its Alien title will be coming to consoles.
