Nearly ten years on from the game's original release, Kingdoms of Amalur is getting a brand new expansion, in the form of the Fatesworn DLC for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.

First announced alongside the remaster back in 2020, Fatesworn continues the journey of the Fateless One. Taking place in a more peaceful Amalur after the Crystal War, a new threat has since started to spread out from the icy lands of Mithros in the far west. Players will need to stop Telogrus, the God of Chaos, from throwing the whole world into, well, chaos.

Players will be able to take on the brand new storying, with a new environment to explore, new quests and missions to take on, and new Chaos Realm dungeons dotted around Amalur. On top of that, there will be new weapons, new armour, new enemies, and even some new gameplay mechanics. Plus, the level cap will be raised to level 50, and a new soundtrack has been composed by Grant Kirkhope, who worked on the original game.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - Fatesworn will launch on 14th December 2021, priced at £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99. You can check out the teaser trailer down below, and check out the five new screenshots in our gallery here.

  • Finally, been waiting for this
  • That's really weird, making DLC to a 10 year old game that only was remastered. Wouldn't they be massively held back by the original game? It was a PS3 game. Would've made more sense if they would've done a remake.
