Battlefield 2042 Update #3 Drops Tomorrow, Adding Weekly Missions, New Rush Layouts, and New Portal Options

EA and DICE have confirmed that a new Battlefield 2042 patch will be rolling out tomorrow, addressing a litany of bugs and other issues highlighted in community feedback, as well as adding new features and quality of life changes. the update comes hot on the heels of last week's Update #2 and the game's first update.

Chief among the new additions are Weekly missions, rotating three different objectives every seven days, the completion of which will unlock a unique cosmetic reward. New game mode layouts for Rush, alongside various new templates and options for Battlefield Portal, will also be included in the update.

Improvements to UI are also among 150 fixes stuffed into the patch, including alterations to maps, weapons, vehicles, and specialists, as well as overall improvements to gameplay, big and small. Further updates addressing balance and other bugs are also in the pipeline for December.

  • It's just so generic and boring. I feel no excitement to unlock anything (plus it takes too long).
    I dislike the preset specialists...
