Aliens: Fireteam Elite Season 2 is Coming Later This Month With New Modes and Weapons

Matt Lorrigan

Good news marines! Aliens: Fireteam Elite's second season of free DLC is launching in just two weeks' time.

The co-op survival shooter set in the Aliens universe first launched back in August, and has since added new free content, including new weapons, cosmetics, and a new shield-wielding class as part of Season 1: Phalanx. Now, Season 2: Point Defense will be launching on 14th December, and will add new weapons, attachments, challenge cards, alongside new Lifetime Stats to view, as part of the free update

The big addition for this new season, however, is the new Point Defense game mode. This mode is described as a “fast-paced alternative to Horde Mode” and will see your fireteam protecting, repairing, and holding three different strategic points, all while fending off waves on Xenomorphs. Oh, and on the same day, the Nostromo Salvage Pack paid DLC will also launch, with a bunch of cosmetic items, including two class kit skin designs based on the first Alien movie.

You can check out all the details in the update images down below. Aliens: Fireteam Elite is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can check out our review of the game here.

  • Point Defence is utter garbage due to the targets having so little health, they may well be made from tissue paper for how long they don't last. The new guns range from ok to crap and the cosmetics are worthless as usual. The 1.14 patch as a whole is too little, too late and make changes that should have been made within a month of release, not 4 months later when the playerbase is virtually dead.
