Publisher Iceberg Interactive has announced that Transient: Extended Edition, another Lovecraftian horror in a similar vein to Conarium (which released for consoles in 2019), will be making its way to PlayStation and Xbox next month. Described as “H.P. Lovecraft meets Cyberpunk”, the game is a dark thriller, set within a post-apocalyptic future.
A grim period during which the last vestiges of mankind have been driven into an enclosed citadel, Transient will task you with discovering what happened to you and your friends, in a harsh, dystopian world filled with puzzles to solve, systems to hack, and other dimensions to explore by plugging in to them.
Playing as augmented protagonist Randolph Carter, you'll ultimately uncover a truth with the potential to tear your sanity to shreds and make you question your own existence, as you visit locations like the wastes of Kor Shehr and the hostile streets of Providence. The Extended Edition of Transient brings with it additional gameplay, a new ending, and various enhancements to the version originally released for PC in October 2020.
Transient: Extended Edition will be heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on 8th December. Check out the trailer below.
