Krafton Inc. will be rolling out another PUBG: Battlegrounds update next month, introducing more new stuff to the battle royale game, including festive ‘winter wonderland’ themed decorations for the Vikendi map. Dinoland, Castle, and Winery will all be decked out in holiday accoutrements, with wintry weather effects to match.
Update 15.1 will hit PUBG on consoles in a couple of weeks, introducing the Mountain Bike as a new vehicle across all maps in Normal Matches, available as a folded lootable item. The Mountain Bike will often be found at a map's outskirts, and can be silently ridden into the fray without alerting other players.
A new ranked season will also be in the offing for Update 15.1, with adjustments to Sanhok's Bootcamp point of interest, allowing for “more tactical engagement opportunities”. The map's shoreline will also have more rocks and trees added, to reduce the vulnerability and exposure of players traversing the area, and weather effects will be tweaked, too.
Finally, the forthcoming update will change map rotation, replacing Paramo with Vikendi for Normal Matches, while removing Paramo from Ranked Matches altogether. Normal Matches will now rotate between Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok, Taego, and Vikendi, while Ranked Matches will rotate the Erangel, Miramar, and Taego maps.
Update 15.1 will be coming to PUBG: Battlegrounds on PlayStation and Xbox on 9th December. You can consult the full patch notes here.
